TakaraTomy to Shift Tomica Production to Vietnam from China

Toy maker Tomy Co., better known as TakaraTomy, plans to fully shift production of its mainstay "Tomica" miniature cars to Vietnam from China in the year to March 2011, company officials said Tuesday.

The company will spend some 500,000 dollars to install Tomica manufacturing facilities at its plant in Haiphong, northern Vietnam.

Initially, the Haiphong plant will make annually 2-3 million Tomica cars from September this year. But the miniature car series will be entirely produced at the Vietnamese foothold three years later, when annual output there will be raised to 15 million units, the officials said.

TakaraTomy once had considered raising Tomica prices in order to cope with soaring labor costs in China. But it managed to avoid the price hike by transferring production to Vietnam, where the costs are less than half that of China, they said.

The company intends to study the possibility of shifting production from China of other products, such as "Plarail" toy trains and "Choro-Q" miniature cars.

It plans to transfer about 30 pct of overall toy production in China to Vietnam three years after the initial move. About 90 pct of the company's toys are made in China at present.

Wedding Anniversary Poems - A Perfect Gift

Wedding Anniversary Poems - A Perfect Gift
By Dave Pipitone

Are you and your spouse celebrating your 50 years together in a Golden Anniversary? 25 years in a Silver Anniversary? One year in a Paper Anniversary? Congratulations. In contemporary American society, only 45% of marriages last. Take this occasion to renew your commitment to each other with wedding anniversary poems that encourage you to stay on the journey together.

Married couples that practice a spiritual dimension and who attend church together tend to have a longer and happier marriage. When they take their wedding vows, they promise to be faithful to each other and to include God throughout their entire lives. So, using inspirational wedding anniversary sayings can help renew those vows in a fresh and more meaningful way.

Why fresh and more meaningful? A long-term, successful married relationship includes many hours, days, weeks and years of routine, habitual ways of communicating with each other. After thirty years of marriage research, Dr. John Gottmann discovered that long-term marriages are strengthened when spouses deliberately express fondness and admiration to each other. Writing and reading wedding anniversary poetry allow a husband and wife to share their personal feelings in a unique, fresh and more meaningful way.

One of the best wedding anniversary gifts that couples can give each other are personal wedding anniversary poems that share heart-felt emotion. These poems may be as simple as: "Roses are red, violets are blue, I am so happy that I married you" to sonnets, books, and letters. Poems do not have to rhyme. Consider these three tips for writing a poem to your spouse on your anniversary day.

First, identify the best and happiest moments of your marriage. Close your eyes and relive the memory. Then, write down the highlights, the details and the positive feelings of those moments. Think of what your spouse was like at the time of your memory. How did she look? What did he do? Was there a sparkle in his eye? Were her smile and wink exciting? Write down every detail. Choose one memory from the list and rewrite it on a new sheet of paper (or use your word processor.)

Second, take that second sheet of paper with the one memory. Ask yourself what that moment meant to you. Write down your thoughts and feelings. Fast forward to today. What do those thoughts and feelings mean to you now? Get your pen out and record what you think now. Compare the two lists and circle the most moving phrases and words.

Third, write out and arrange the most moving phrases and words into several lines that make up your wedding anniversary poetry. Be natural and be yourself. If you can work in rhyming, go ahead. Keep working on the words until they tell your spouse a short love story about the memory that meant so much to you. In a sense, you are giving away a piece of your heart which is worth more than any wedding anniversary gift you can buy. Take that poem and print or write it on a sheet of fine stationery or in an anniversary card.

Wedding anniversary poems are a perfect gift you can share with your spouse. The cost is your time and willingness to share your heart. The effect on your spouse is priceless.

Two Surefire Ways How To Dump A Girl In A Restaurant, Fast!

by Tina “Knowledgeable” Peden.
Author

Hey guys, did you ever take a date out to a restaurant and an hour later you knew that the girl was not for you so you decide to do the gentlemanly thing and dump her and dump her ass fast but you were stumped on how to do it?

Guys relax, because help is here! I’m gonna’ tell you two surefire ways how to dump a girl in a restaurant, fast!

SUREFIRE WAY NUMBER 1:

Guys, excuse yourself and go to the women’s restroom and buy a sanitary napkin from the dispenser. Guys relax, if any women in the restroom object to you being in there simply tell them that you are not a pervert, tell them you are a nice heterosexual man buying a sanitary napkin for himself for his birthday.

No woman can object to that!

But just in case, guys be sure to get the hell out of there as fast as you can before they call the police!

Next, go to the men’s restroom and slowly take off the strip of paper covering the adhesive strip of the sanitary napkin then stick the sanitary napkin onto the back of your shoe. Guys you might also want to stick a few sheets of toilet paper onto the sanitary napkin just to make the sanitary napkin look more pretty.

After you’re finished, exit the men’s restroom. Guys, as you approach your table start yelling, “Look at the sanitary napkin on my shoe! Look at the sanitary napkin on my shoe! Look at the sanitary napkin on my shoe!” Guys by the time you sit back down at your table your date will be gone! Eazy breezy!

But guys, if that method doesn’t work then try the granddaddy of girl dumping, surefire way number 1.

SUREFIRE WAY NUMBER 2:

Guys, again excuse yourselves from the table and sneak out of the restaurant and go to the nearest store that you can find and buy a tube of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, a mirrored compact, a Melissa Manchester 8-track tape and a portable 8-track tape player. Trust me guys you’ll have no problem finding these items!

After buying the items hurry back to the restaurant. Guys, if your date asks you what’s in the bag, tell her it’s a surprise. Guys, after eating your meal take the items out of the bag and put them onto the table. Open the mirrored compact and apply an excessive amount of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly onto your lips. Guys while you are primping in the mirror pop the Melissa Manchester tape into the 8-track player. Once the song, “Don’t Cry Out Loud” begins to play, sing the lyrics of the song as loud as you possibly can especially the chorus. Just in case you don’t know the chorus of “Don’t Cry Out Loud” by heart, and you really should, I have included it below.

“Don’t cry out loud”
“Just keep it inside”
“Learn how to hide your feelings”
“Fly high and proud”
“And if you should fall”
“Remember you almost had it all”

Guys, while the song is still playing, set the mirrored compact and Vaseline onto the table, get up, take your date in your arms and start dancing with her. Next, plant a big greasy kiss onto her startled lips and continue singing as loud as you can.

Guys, once your date starts screaming for help, release her and watch her haul ass to the nearest exit. Guys, before you leave the restaurant be sure to order a glass of champagne to celebrate a girl dumping job well done!”

How to Create Gift Box Centerpieces

How to Create Gift Box Centerpieces

By Erinn Valencich
Create Gift Box Centerpieces

gift boxIf you want to create an unconventional centerpiece that’s easy, versatile and inexpensive, look no further
than your gift wrap drawer. A stack of boxes wrapped in bold, beautiful paper can be just as stunning as a bouquet—and the best part? All you need to create this polished tablescape are some basic gift wrapping supplies.

Things You’ll Need:

* Wrapping paper
* Boxes
* Scissors
* Double-sided tape
* Ribbon

Step1
Gather boxes. Chances are, you have boxes you can use already lying around the house. You’ll want to vary sizes, but choose boxes that are within the same basic medium-size range. Shoeboxes and other boxes with pronounced tops aren’t the best choice; instead, try to find something without an obviously visible top. You can always buy empty boxes at party or craft supply stores. (If you don’t have any empty gift boxes, small board games, tissue boxes or pantry items like tea or cracker boxes could work.)

Step2
Choose wrapping paper and ribbon. When making your selections, remember to choose paper that coordinates with the table linens and china you’ll be using. Try to tie all elements together by sticking to two or three colors. And when choosing papers and ribbons, it’s best not to go for anything too busy; small patterns and solids are safest.

Step3
If you’re using flimsy empty boxes and will be displaying them outdoors or somewhere they might get jostled, put something inside to weight them. Just don’t use anything too heavy, so when you stack the boxes they won’t crush each other.

Step4
Wrap the boxes carefully and secure with double-sided tape. Tie ribbons and trim the ends.

Step5
Stack boxes in center of table. If you’re using a long table, create several piles of boxes along the length of the table. If you’ll be at round tables, one display of boxes is all you need. When stacking the boxes, display them at different angles, setting some upright and resting others on their sides.

Design a Door Hanger to Designate Your Creative Space

By Chris Dunmire

door hanger craft

Please Do Not Disturb! Writer at Work"Writer at Work!", "Poet at Play!", "Keep Out — I'm Busy Creating!"

Door hangers have long been used in hotels and elsewhere to send messages to those on the outside of the closed door. Common messages denote privacy ("Do Not Disturb") or request service ("Please Clean this Room"). But you needn't check into a hotel to make good use of door hanger messages that promote your creative freedom — if you have doors at home, you can hang them there too!

If you'd rather not be disturbed (and who wants to be?) while dedicating your efforts to your art, crafts, or writing projects, or if you need some quiet time for reading, reflection, or relaxing in service of your creative life — door hangers are a great way to remind family and friends that your creative time and space is important to you. You can always buy a ready-made "Do Not Disturb" door hanger for this purpose, but wouldn't it be great to design a message that reflects your individual creative personality? Of course it would! Read on to learn how.

How to Design a Customized Door Hanger

Here are some ways you can design your own door hanger message:

1. Buy and decorate a pre-cut door hanger template. Many craft stores carry blank wooden, plastic, and foam door hanger templates you can buy and decorate however you wish with paints and other embellishments.

2. Design a door hanger on your computer. If you're graphics-savvy, you can design a paper door hanger in your favorite layout/design software program (such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, or Microsoft Publisher). This option is flexible in that you can emulate standard-sized door hanger formats or customize your own size and shape.

3. Download and print one of Creativity Portal's free paper door hanger templates. If you like the idea of working "hands on" with standard-sized paper door hanger templates, you can download and print one of ours from the selection below and get started with your door hanger project right now. Suggested instructions on how follow.

door hanger templateSuggested Instructions for Using the Printable Door Hanger Templates

1. Poet at PlayDownload and print one of the below template pages onto thick paper or card stock (Template color choices are blank/white, blue, green, orange, red, and yellow.)

2. Carefully cut out the door hanger template with scissors or craft knife.

3. Design your door hanger message in any way you choose, using the template as a blank canvas. You can use your computer to create words and pictures — or draw, color, collage, paint, or stamp on your own designs. Tear up magazines, paint with passion, or draw with determination — just use your imagination! The creative possibilities are endless. Note: A reversible door hanger can be made by sticking two templates together back-to-back.

4. When your door hanger design is finished (and if the entire design is flat) you may wish to seal it with Mod Podge or clear, self-adhesive laminating sheets for protection and durability.

5. When you need some creative time and space to yourself, hang your new door hanger on the outside knob of your door and close it!

Make Creative Gift Wrapping Paper with Kids

Unique Paper Wrapper Ideas!">

Make Creative Gift Wrapping Paper with Kids

Unique Paper Wrapper Ideas!

By Abigail Beal

Making your own wrapping paper is a fun activity that children or adults can do. With some creativity you can create gift wrap that is unique and different – everyone will know the gift is from you!

When making gift wrap with children you will probably want to use either craft white paper or craft brown paper (like the grocery bags). You could even use the inside of a grocery bag if the gift is small enough.

At several points depending on your child’s age – they may need help. If your child is not ready to cut with scissors, then manage all of the scissor work and let them have fun gluing everything. Remember to select non-toxic materials. Consider all art materials toxic unless they say they are non-toxic.

Stamping Shapes Paper:

To make this you can use either sponges or potatoes. The ease with potatoes is they give children (and adults) a “handle” to hold onto. Sponges are a little harder to hold onto once they get wet, and your designs may not get as clean and clear results.

Use tempura or acrylic paint. Be sure with children to use non-toxic paint. Remember with art materials that if they do not say they are non-toxic, chances are they are toxic – so be aware and stay safe.

Select your paint colors and cut simple designs in your potatoes or sponges. Great shapes include stars, hearts, arrows, lightning bolts, circles, triangles, letters, numbers and smiley faces. Help your children cut the designs depending on their age level.

Lay the paper flat on a dry and protected surface and stamp away with your potatoes or sponges! Remember to put your design all over the paper so that it shows all over your gift, not just one area of the paper. Let it dry overnight before wrapping gifts.

Names or Shapes Paper:

To make this paper you will need several sheets of fluorescent paper (8 ½ x 11”) is fine. You will also need glue sticks and scissors.

Select a name or a shape that you wish to do for your paper. Think about the size of your gift, is it big? Is your gift small? If your gift is big, then your letters or shapes can be bigger. If your gift is small then your letters or shapes need to be smaller.

If you are giving a birthday gift it could be fun to write the birthday child’s name. If it is a gift for Mom then you could write Mom. Or consider writing a short message like “Happy Birthday” if you have enough room.

Write boxy letters or cut out shapes and glue them onto the paper. Write the name and glue it onto the paper several times. Allow it to dry overnight. Then wrap gift.

Picture Paper:

To make this paper you will need magazines or newspapers. Catalogs such a flower catalogs or children’s catalogs are also good. Comic books are good for this also. You will need scissors and glue stick.

Select a theme for your paper. Are you going to cut out pictures of animals? Cartoon characters? Flowers? Home images? Or are you going to cut out words? Find the images and cut them out. Glue them onto the paper. Allow it to dry and then wrap your gift.

Special Message Paper:

This is good for most children of any age. First select how large the gift will be and cut the gift paper to size.

Select markers or crayons. You are going to write a special message to the friend or loved one to wish them a Happy Birthday or other good wishes. Help your child select their message.

Write the message on the paper. Now write the message again in other line with a different color marker or crayon. Continue until the paper is full. You can use medium to large handwriting – actually any size handwriting is fine. Just continue until the paper is completely filled. Let this paper dry before wrapping the gift.

When you give the gift remind the birthday child they need to read the Special Message on the wrapping paper.

Feminine Doily Paper:

This is a cute gift wrapping paper for a girl’s gift. This is also an easy project to do with even most young children because it only involves glue sticks.

To make this paper you will need paper doilies, either white or metallic (your choice). This project works best with the small doilies. You will also need a glue stick.

Glue the doilies onto the paper. Glue them in an even pattern all over the paper. The doilies will give the gift wrapping a feminine look. Once the doilies are dried, wrap the gift.

There are many other ideas for gift wrap that are in your home and right in front of your nose. Just use your imagination and you will find many other ideas to use with your children. Happy wrapping! •

12 ways to give the PERFECT GIFTS

12 ways perfect gift

There comes a time when it no longer suffices to buy a gift that is straight off the shelf. Sometimes you need to make sure your gift is just perfect and completely unique. You will need to get a little creative to show your significant other, friend or relative that you really care. I know, you are asking yourself, "How can I best express my love? How can I show this person just how great I think they are?" Well fret no more my friends.

It doesn't matter if it is for your high-school sweetheart, best friend, mother or even your boss, we have asked these questions of ourselves and have compiled a list of easy ways to let your creativity reign so that you can give the perfect gift! Remember giving is one of the treasures in life, so do it right and make it memorable.

incorporate your photos with your gifts

Everyone likes to see themselves in a photo, especially if it is with someone they love (like you) or is of a special time in their lives. Find a picture from the past and use that in your next gift idea. It will make the recipient feel special and show how sentimental you are, which is always good.

So look through those long forgotten family photos you thought you threw away and pick out one that will brighten up someone's day!

inside jokes

Remember those really funny moments you both shared? Yeah, like the time you and your best friend went to a baseball game and just as you were walking to your seats you slipped and your hot dog and soda went all over you just as the jumbo TV in the stadium had you on screen. Right, I know, not funny. But these funny memories are the best stories to tell. Include your special memories and funny stories, use a phrase or a picture that recalls the event. These memories never get old.

recreate thier favorite holiday

Maybe it's St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day or Halloween. Whichever holiday it is, it doesn't have to be celebrated only once a year.

Show the person you love that you know what their favorite holiday is and work some of the magic from that day into your gift.

quotes are so quotable

Does the person have a favorite song or TV show? Do they have a favorite saying or quote that they are known for?

Do they just love “The Godfather” series? Try to work a quote into the gift and give them..."an offer they can't refuse!"

keep your eyes and ears open

You never know when the perfect gift will present (pun intended) itself. Be a careful observer, and take notice of expressions of desire when they say, "Oh, I just love this!" Go home and write it down or send it in an email to yourself so you don't forget. The fact that you noticed and remembered something that they expressed interest in will certainly be ‘big points’ in your favor.

pets are part of the family

Does the person have a favorite pet? Well get Fido involved! A gift that involves a pet is always guaranteed to bring a smile.

favorite color

A splash of the person's favorite color can complete any gift idea. Think of their most used color or ask them what they like the best and build a gift around that theme. It will be seen as thoughtful and packed with meaning.

say I love You

Simple words of love can add so much to a gift. You don't have to be Shakespeare to create a meaningful sentence, give it a try and you will be surprised.

Location, location, location

Not just for real estate, but also for the creative gift giver that wants to add the element of surprise to their gift. Add excitement to the whole experience by placing your gift in a spot where the recipient will find it. The spot you choose can have something to do with the gift itself or the spot can relate directly to your relationship.

anyday is a good day

You don't have to give a gift only on designated holidays or occasions, sometimes the best days are the unexpected ones. Catch the person on a Monday or an early morning Sunday just waking up, any day you pick will be a good 'Just thinking of you' day!

hobbies and passions

Think of the person you are giving the gift to, do they have any hobbies or passions? Maybe they just completed a recent project that means a lot to them. Show them you support them and care for all that they are doing. Create a gift around that idea and work in the hobby, accomplishment or activity as much as possible.

from the kids!

We all know kids are on a tight budget. OK, they have no budget at all. Talk to a child in the life of the person you are getting the gift for and ask them what they would say or write and then work that into the gift.

Maybe the gift is for your wife, so have it come from the kids. Or maybe it's for a special teacher, have the entire class add something toward the idea. This will make the gift extra special and surely to be remembered.

------
These 12 simple ideas offer a way to get started towards creating the perfect gift for someone special in your life. Use just one or a combination of them to give a gift that is from your heart, a gift that will long be remembered and appreciated.

A Gift with a Difference!

A Gift with a Difference! by Wain Roy

How often do you find yourself in a dilemma when you begin looking for the perfect gift to present your wife, your parents or your dearest friend? I guess most of us want to gift something unique- a gift that would cause to bring a smile their faces. Nowadays, personalized gifts have emerged as a trendy gift concept. Imprinting a memorable moment on a coffee mug, pillow cover, cushions, or even on your wall is one of the best ways to convey your love. However, such personalized gifts can be made much more interesting if you combine your love with a sparkle of humor. So, how about a gift with an imprinted caricature of your dear one? How will your boss react when he beholds his own caricature in a calendar gifted by you? Such gifts will surely lighten up their hearts and fill them with joy! Watch the joy gleaming in your parents' eyes as they see their caricatures in a glass photo frame. Caricature gifts are unique in themselves. Gift selection has always been a Herculean task for most of us, where we generally land up purchasing the same crystal ball, or garments, or a showpiece. These gifts hardly give rise to excitement on part of the receiver. With caricature gifts, the receiver is simply enthused by the representation of his/her image on an object. This personal touch actually makes the gift much more special.

Information about stores offering caricature services can be availed through the Internet. Caricature artists pay attention to every little detail and lend an amazing likeness to the image. Ordering a personal caricature does not invite any hassle. All one needs to do is select the kind of caricature he/she prefers, choose the background or theme of the caricature, and complete the payment process. The rest is taken over by the caricature artist who brings forth his skill and imagination to create a unique piece of art.

The very uniqueness of caricature gifts creates an immense impact on the person who receives it. In most cases, "Wow!" is what we hear when a person sees his/her caricature imprinted on an object. These caricatures not only cause smiles all around but also conveys how much important the person is in your life. Caricature gifts make a perfect retirement, anniversary, or birthday gift. So the next time you prepare to spend thousands of dollars on the same old crystal showpiece think again!

Gimana Memilih Kado Ultah ?

Gimana Memilih Kado Ultah ?

Canda punya sahabat, namanya Mikola. Dia mengaku kebingungan memilih kado ulang tahun buat sahabatnya. Mau membeli apa? Yang harganya berapa? Barang apa yang kira-kira cocok untuk dia? Aha, tak usah bingung Mikola! Simak deh petunjuk Canda berikut ini.

Nah Mikola, semoga kamu nggak bingung lagi. (*/B)
